• Illumination systems, types of lighting systems, and their applications
• Electrical protection systems, including circuit breakers and fuses
• Transformers, generators, and their applications, along with the basics of turbine operation and control systems
• Tools and techniques for electrical system testing
• Overview of UPS systems and their components
• Advanced switching techniques and configurations
• Proper cable termination methods
• National and international electrical codes
• Advanced practical applications in electrical systems

Educational Requirements

• Intermediate knowledge of electrical installation, demonstrated through prior work experience or successful completion of an intermediate-level certificate in electrical installation (Domestic Wiring)

• A computer or laptop with a stable internet connection
• Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 or higher
• The following programmes must be installed:
  • Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook (Version 2010 or higher)
  • Zoom (accessible via app or browser) for virtual learning sessions

Documentation Requirements

• One valid form of identification (National Identification Card, Driver’s Permit, Passport or Birth Certification
  • A copy of your Birth Certificate will only be accepted if no other form of ID is available
• Proof of previous learning/experience: Documentation of completion of an intermediate-level certificate in electrical installation (Domestic Wiring) or equivalent experience
